The Annual 5K Run/Walk for Autism Awareness
The Brevard Autism Coalition conducted the 15th Annual 5K Run/Walk for Autism Awareness on February 24th, 2024. This annual event aims to raise funds to support families affected by Autism in Brevard County. The 15th Annual 5K Run/Walk for Autism Awareness happened at the David R Schechter Community Center in Satellite Beach, FL.
Participants could choose from three courses: the 5K Run/Walk, the Virtual 5K, or the Run For The Kids Challenge. The 5K Run/Walk and Virtual 5K were 5 kilometers long, with prices ranging from $30.00 to $35.00. The Run For The Kids Challenge was also a 5K but with a higher price of $100.00. Awards were given to the top 3 overall male and female participants and the top Masters (40+), male and female. The top 3 male and female participants in each age group also received awards. There were also awards for the top family team and top corporate team.
